Our life, Our Story..: April 2010

Kyle's football career has been exhausted...not due to eligibility, but due sadly to injury. We had an MRI done on Tuesday morning and here it is folks... 1 completely torn ACL (snapped in half), and 1 torn Meniscus. Yep, you heard correctly...looks like its going to be a long summer full of rehabilitation. If any of you out there have any words of wisdom or good references that would be SOO helpful!! Wish us luck with surgery and hope that all goes smoothly. Updates to follow...

All in all, we are learning LOTS about health insurance and how lucky we are that we both have never had a serious injury before. Count your blessings!

Hello Everyone!!

In case you were worried...we are alive! Just have been extremely busy the last few weeks. But we are back on track and doing GREAT! I don't know for the rest of you all out there, but here in Corvallis spring and finally sprung! And its beautiful to walk around campus and see all the flowers, green DRY grass, and everyone out walking around with smiles on their faces. Its so reffreshing! Until...you realize your allergies are back. But I think we can all deal with those for a few months if we can trade to get some sunshine out in the end.

BIG BIG BIG HUGE CONGRATS TO KYLE!! We just found out that he will be in Baltimore, Maryland for 10 weeks this summer studying at Johns Hopkins University Medical Institute in which he will be working in a lab on Nano-Bio-Technologies in Medicine. He is only 1 of 8 people in the country to be inducted into this program. WOW! So happy for him wahoo!!

Now all the rest of this stuff is going to seem so small and insignificant after that big news but here are some pictures from our Spring Break trip with my parents to Hawaii. As always it was an absolute BLAST! After much anticipation it finally came, and then went by way to fast! Hopefully we can go again soon. We are so thankful for my parents who took us on such a fabulous vacation. As my mom and I were talking we decided it was a VERY good thing that Kyle and my Dad had each other to go off and venture, because there was no chance you would get my mom and I out of the warm sunny beach and risk not getting an even tan and a relaxing trip!

You will also find a few pictures of Kyle and his football team. As you can see he is proudly passing on the family tradition of having the #5!!! WAHOO!! So proud! He had his first official game last week and so I couldnt resist not taking a few pictures. Brace yourself for a lot more of these too...Kyle has a game every Saturday!
